Full of Soul

I’ve been looking at this bottle for days now and thinking how it matches this month’s beautiful book - Mrs Death Misses Death by Salena Godden

And there’s a funny wee story that goes with this bottle - it was a handmade prize given to me and my partner Andy (To the Berry’s, though I’m still not a Berry, never say never 😂) for being the best fancy-dress pair at a very macabre Halloween party, hosted by my friend, Nik. He loves all things gory while me, well I'm a big wuss!

Not entirely sure exactly what the inscription says but we were told that we had surrendered our souls to the devil by attending the party and that as best dressed duo we had won the right to have our souls returned (which made me very relieved and delighted that we’d made such an effort!!!)

And so it seems very fitting to pair with the book for this photo as, Yes this book is about death but oh my, it has so much soul too!

Salena will be joining us to discuss this book on the 31st of March, buy the box and you'll be invited to join us too.

An absolutely brilliant book, I would have loved to have joined to hear Salena talk about it.
